Turian Headcanon

I keep on seeing people seething about the fact Nyreen didn't have a fringe and accusing Garrus of being gay, because he complimented Shep's "fringe" (seriously, people? Nah, I know not, but really?)... So I wanted to clarify.

It's nothing official, of course, just a headcanon, but as a person passionate about biology, I believe it's accurate. In bird world it's the male that has most impressive features, not the female. It makes sense male turians would have long crests and females wouldn't.
It would also make sense if turian females DIDN'T have breasts (I honestly feel like puking each time someone implies Nyreen has boobs), because:
a) there is absolutely no notion turians are breastfeeding their babies, also: how would a creature with essentially no cheeks suck anyway?
b) if the whole point of evolving plates on the body is to escape radiation of the home star, WHY would females be exposing large portions of soft tissue to it??

This overly long rant was written, because I believe some people are just popping ideas out of their heads and they don't PAUSE AND THINK about logic for a second. *sigh*
